Zach Lewis’ Skateboard
The ‘warewach’ nickname came from the VS dudes and our many Oregon trips. About day 2 or 3 of being dirty, skating all day and not showering my hair and beard gets all crazy looking and I resemble a ware wolf, I guess.” – Zach Lewis aka The Warewach
We recently caught up with Zach Lewis at his home away from home, the UC Berkeley Skate Camp. Zach aka “The Warewach”, is a 30 year young resident of Oaktown, California, and straight up kills it on a skateboard. He’s been “kickin’ sticks” as he likes to say, since 1996. He is an all terrain skater that absolutely destroys it on a vert ramp and in pools.
When Zach isn’t skateboarding or at home playing acoustic guitar, you’ll find him honing his skills at the fine art of ramp building. “Phil Shao was the first dude to totally stoke me out and show me what was possible on a skateboard.” His mastery of the art is evident when you ride his masterpiece, the UC Berkeley vert ramp. The ramp measures in at 40′ wide (56′ soon), 11′ transition, 1.5′ vert and is one of the best vert ramps NorCal has ever had.
Zach is currently sponsored by 510 Skateshop and has some rad homies at Deluxe Distribution (shoutout to Jimmy and Nate) that kick down all of his Real/Antihero, Thunder and Spitfire needs.
This is Zach Lewis’ skateboard. There are many like it, but this one is his.
